Hi, I am Caren Bowen

I started photography about 7 years ago as a hobby to capture moments in the life of our family. Photography has always been something I wanted to pursue and with the birth of our grandson, it was perfect time to begin the journey. My husband, Allen, gifted me my first camera and it has been an ongoing journey of learning and capturing life's moments.

Allen and I decided it was time to turn our passion into a business that we could both enjoy. So, Bowen Photography & Aerial Services was born in December, 2021.

We offer all types of photography, from commercial (headshots, product images, website content) to families (weddings, maternity, cake smashes, birthdays, anniversaries, proms, seniors, etc.). Some of my work has involved composites which are fun to let the imagination run wild and create something totally different.

As a licensed FAA drone operator, Allen provides aerial photos of properties to showcase them from a "birds eye view". We are proud to be Affiliate Members of Southside Virginia Association of Realtors.

Allen and I reside in Matoaca, Virginia (Chesterfield County) and provide our services throughout Central Virginia. We have a home studio so we can provide indoor photography without concern for weather.
